Diving Activities in South Corsica

If you are still in the learning phase, renting all the equipment included in the package from the diving club is obviously the simplest and most economical solution. However, for a more regular and certified diver, owning at least your own wrist computer and well-fitted mask is a real undeniable comfort advantage.

Diving according to the rules of the art requires absolute thermal comfort to not spoil the moment.

While the water is delightfully warm during the summer season (hovering around 24°C to 26°C at the surface), venturing deeper often requires wearing an appropriate neoprene suit (5 to 7mm) to avoid sudden chills related to the Mediterranean thermocline. Immersing yourself while perfectly equipped is the absolute guarantee of untainted pleasure beneath the waves.

To remember for your future southern dives:

Beginners: The southern Corsica is full of current-free coves, ideal for getting familiar with underwater weightlessness.
Reserves: The classified areas (Bouches de Bonifacio, Cerbicale Islands) guarantee the highest fish density on the island.
Technicality: The western gulfs (Valinco, Sagone) host fabulous drop-offs and ancient wrecks to explore.
Equipment: Prefer a snorkel for surface snorkeling, but plan for good thermal protection to dive deeper.
Anticipation: Selecting your dive spots and booking your club should be done well before the summer season.
